Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Procedure

Veterinary endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used in veterinary medicine to examine the interior surfaces of organs and body cavities in animals. It involves the use of an endoscope, which is a flexible or rigid tube equipped with a camera and light source, allowing us to visualise internal structures without the need for invasive surgery.

Types Of Endoscopy:

Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Used to examine the esophagus, stomach, and intestines.

Bronchoscopy

Used to visualise the airways and lungs.

Rhinoscopy

Used to examine the nasal passages sinuses. 

Cystoscopy

Used to examine the urinary bladder.

Arthoscopy

Used to examine and treat joint disorders.

Laparoscopy

Used for examining abdominal organs.

Thoracoscopy

Used to examine the chest cavity.

Diagnostic Applications

Veterinary endoscopy is commonly used for diagnostic purposes, such as identifying gastrointestinal abnormalities, evaluating respiratory conditions, diagnosing urinary tract disorders, and examining joint problems. It allows veterinarians to visualize abnormalities, take biopsies, and collect samples for further analysis.
